Ministries

As Lutherans, we believe that all Christians are called to be Disciples of Christ and “ministers” in God’s kingdom.   There are many varied opportunities to use our time, talents and spiritual gifts in serving God and in helping others within our community and the greater world.  If you don’t find a way to serve that calls you, create a new ministry team!

 

The current teams are:

Administration Teams: Property, Technology, Counters, and Office Volunteers

Education: Sunday School, Adult Education, Vacation Bible School

Good Works Project Team: supports Bread for the World, Heifer Project International,

Baby Manna, missionary support, food pantry, international students at the Lutheran seminary, Aid for Friends meals, soap for the Seamen's Institute, sale of Fair Trade coffee, Interfaith Housing Alliance, toiletries and socks for the homeless, blankets and tools for Church World Service, Red Cross blood drives, and gifts for foster children.

Music: 6 performing groups, all volunteer, young to old, instrumental and choral

Nursery School board, faculty, directors

Rummage Sale: proceeds benefit many charities

Worship: Altar Guild, Assisting Ministers, Ushers, Greeters, Sunday Child Care

Youth Ministries: SPYs (St. Paul’s Youth), Scouts, Acolytes, presentation of Santa Lucia
